Its beginning to look alot like Christmas around here. As you can tell from the lack of no new holiday post, its been a month since the last post, so you know things are busy around this joint. However, with all that’s been going on with my catering, homeschooling, babysitting, family functions and many other things, we still somehow found time to make COOKIES! It wouldn’t be the same without at least one post…or maybe a few because this weekend we make our “Annual Edible Treat Boxes” filled with cookies, cookies, and more cookies and maybe a few new surprises.

Snickerdoodles are the newest addition in our cookie repertoire…so count these in to be added to our cookie list.

The recipe we found was adapted from here. However, we tweaked it a little with a few things.

For instance, use 3 cups of flour instead of the 2 1/2 cups the recipe calls for. That will allow the dough to form correctly.

Once the cookie dough is mixed, formed into balls, tossed in the cinnamon-sugar and placed on the cookie sheet, flatten the cookie balls for a flatter cookie. Or leave in the rolled cookie ball form and bake. Which ever you desire. The above picture shows both…
To date we’ve made several batches and plan to make a few more this weekend for our edible gift boxes…Merry Christmas!!
